So, there's been a lot of stuff going on and coming up, and I didn't realize how much of an overall change it's all going to be bringing -- and not only for me, but most of my friends, too.
This weekend we're having a going away party for our friend that's moving to Miami on June 1st. So we'll just refer to her as Miami, and she currently lives with E. When she moves out, a good friend of mine B, will be taking her place in E's house.
Another really good friend of mine and her boyfriend are moving to San Francisco. He leaves in a week and she's only got about 3 or 4 left here.
One of my long time guy friends is moving out of state by the end of the month.
(My book signing party is on the 30th, too...so some of them will end up missing it, which is saddening.)
Umm, who else is moving? Well, LAST year 2 of my closest girlfriends (from college) moved out of state, and that still sucks, of course.
And a TON of us are moving in general, too. Like how I mentioned B is moving in with E when Miami leaves. Also, one of our guy friends who we'll refer to as Male Divorcee is moving into a townhouse in another little town close-by.
The thing with Male Divorcee is he's been a long time friend/protector over all of us girls. And we were all friends with this married couple that happened to be swingers. Yeah. Kind of surprised I've never told about them...
Anyways, the swingers were married for about 6 years I think, and a few months ago they started having issues. Issues that weren't going to go away. So, they separated. Now, they're in the final stages of their divorce. The woman from the swinger couple will be named Female Divorcee.
Female D. started hanging out with Man D. lots and lots. We all joked around saying they were hooking up, etc. Well...we were right. Eventually both the D.'s told us they were together. It kind of puts some of us in an awkward position. Like R, he has been friends with the swingers for probably longer than any of us. Luckily, the swingers still get along okay, but sheesh!!!
Needless to say, both D.'s are moving in together in Male D.'s new townhouse.
Another married couple I am friends with are really hoping to be buying a new house they put an offer on. Right now they live right down the street from my office, which is nice for when you want to do happy hour, stay local, etc. But, the house they want is closer to R's apartment. Which is about 25-30 minutes away.
I...(now we're on to me...). I...finally get to move out of my dad's and get away from his girlfriend! (yay!) I am moving about 8 minutes away (but that's 8 minutes closer to work!). AND, about 8 minutes closer to everyone else I previously mentioned (that is not moving).
Dad needs about a month to re-do my kitchen and probably bathroom. I couldn't be any more excited! Not only do I get to move out, but I get to live by myself for the first time ever!!! All the other times, I mean -- I was in college (roommates), then I lived with my friend, then I lived with my (ex) boyfriend.
Before I get any further in any romantic relationships (or the one that I am in, with R), I NEED to live by myself. I'm going to love this!
Oh yeah, when I mentioned the ex b/f it reminded me of another change I wanted to mention...he is ENGAGED! Yup.
E, (who you may or may not remember is his sister) told me on Friday that he announced it.
So...what the hell is going on?!

Again?!?
So, only a few weeks ago when the whole Jack sage was going on -- I saw my Ex. Well, last night a group of us went to the hockey game (sooo fun! There were a couple bad calls and fans were getting so mad and throwing stuff out onto the ice! ha!).
Anyways, afterwards we went out for a few drinks. We went to this place that I hadn't been to since St. Patrick's Day when I lost my wallet there. A friend of mine and I went downstairs to use the ladies room, and when we came back up the stairs, I look to the guys in front of me and there he is! Again, the Ex!
Also again, we did not speak. We hardly made eye contact. I told my friend and she said, "Did you say hi to him?"
No. No. Andddd...No.
Again I said, "We had a reallllllly bad...ending."
Why is he showing up everywhere all of a sudden?! I haven't run into him in at LEAST 4 years, and now I see him twice in a month!?!
Oh yeh, as for the costume for Halloween, I believe I'm gonna go with the green skirted one! Thanks for your input!

The Webs we Weave
Okay, so we're gonna call "first love" guy FL from now on. So, on Monday I got the urge to call his house. He asked what I was doing that night and if I wanted to hang out. "Sure, sounds good," I said. "Okay, I will give you a call around 5:30-6," he says.
I swear it was 5:30 exactly when my phone rang. "What do you wanna do?" he asked. I didn't really care, so he said he'd be over at around 7 to pick me up and we'd go have some drinks.
When he came over, I took him inside to show him around the house my dad added an addition onto. Then, we went outside and walked over the little creek up into our huge yard/field. We walked up kind of far, sat underneath a tree, and decided to smoke. He told me all about Guatemala, and we just sat and enjoyed the awesome weather.
Then, we left in his car and went to have some drinks. We talked about how it doesn't even feel like any time has passed since we've hung out and we can still talk to eachother about anything and everything. The whole night was just really good. We ended up being a little tipsy and kind of holding hands, but that really isn't that unusual for us (even though it's been so long).
So, then on Tuesday I kept thinking all day about how he was leaving again, how much fun we had, etc. Then, he called! He called me right when I got done with work and asked if I wanted to go to the baseball game, he had seats right at the dugout. Of course, I said yes. He said he and his mom had some errands to run, but that they'd come pick me up afterwards. So, I went home, got cleaned up and rushed around to be ready. He called and said they were 5 minutes away. I ran out in the garage for a minute, my dad was in there. He says, "Is that car here for you?" and I said, "Yeah." Knowing he was going to continue to ask questions, I said, "It's FL...and his mom...I'm going to the baseball game." My dad's eyes got big and he said, "his mom's going, too?" and I said, "No, she's just in the car right now." So, my dad says, "FL, huh?" and I said, "Don't look at me like that," as I ran out the door. FL's mom said, "Hey Dramatic! How are you?"
"Good," I said, "how are you?"
And off we all went. It was sort of odd. I felt like I'd gone back in time or something. He'd already told me that I still have a big impact on his life, and he has always thought of me positively. I told him I felt the same.
We pulled into his driveway, and I helped them get some stuff out of the trunk. FL's dad stood at the door and waved to me.
We went upstairs to FL's room so he could get a few items of clothing together to pack. "My room looks different," he said.
"Actually, not really that much," I said.
"Really?"
"Yeah."
And I sat on the edge of his bed like I always did...while he packed up his stuff to leave again. This was exactly like it'd been 4 years ago.
Everything was the same. Driving in his car, listening to really good music, me looking out the window. I'd forgotten how much I enjoy hanging around with him. I don't worry about anything, and I enjoy whatever we do. I've never been like that with anyone. I always dropped everything for FL.
But, we always seem to be saying goodbye.
Before, it was when he was in college. I would cry and cry after he left. It never got any easier.
Then, we lived totally different lives and now ... 4 years later, we're hanging out exactly like we used to. And he leaves again.
Everytime he would have to leave, we always made sure we spent his last night here together.
I think it's funny and ironic that his last night here on Tuesday we spent together, too.
I half hope that his ex g/f (and my ex's ex) finds out. She'll never out do me. HAHAHAHA.
FL told me she was always "very cautious" concerning me. I told him that she should be.
Next time I'll see him will be Christmas. So, until then, it's back to the norm. *sigh*

More cans, more worms
Wow. So, lots has happened in the past week. After making the drunken mistake of "propositioning" my friend, my other friend E called and asked if I liked him because R is going all nutty and suspecting that I do.
I told her, "Nope."
So, I text A (the crush) and ask him to please not say anything to anyone about my drunkeness that night because it will only cause unnecessary drama within our group of friends.
He says, "Oh, of course, it's no big deal. Were you stressed out about it?"
I said, "No, not at all until E just called and told me R is freaking out, thinking something's up."
So, all was well. Until the next night everyone went out for A's birthday. I, being sick, could not leave my couch.
The next day E tells me she had been talking to our friend the other day and she said, "WHAT is Dramatic going to do w/ both A and R there?" (out for A's bday festivities, when I was still supposed to go.)
E says, "What? Does she like A? I asked her and she said no, are you just thinking she likes him, or did she tell you?"
Friend says, "She told me."
Uh-oh. I tell E that it was nothing but a temporary harmless crush when I was drunk. She understood & knew what that was like.
But then, she tells me that the night they were all out for A's bday, A went over to R and apologized.
What?!! Why?!?
He told R, "I just wanted to say sorry, because you might think something's going on between Dramatic and I, but there's not...we're just friends."
So, R says, "Yeah, that's cool A, I'm just paranoid and being stupid."
We're all friends here. And since, all has been well again.
But, to open up ANOTHER can of worms.
I used to date a guy, he was what I guess you'd say my "first love." We had a very odd relationship for about 3 years or so, off & on, because he lived out of state for college.
We always had much more of a mental, emotional kind of relationship. We'd talk about anything and everything, we got along great, etc.
Well, one year when he came home for the holidays he never called, thus our relationship fell apart.
I moved on.
He moved on.
Strangely enough, when I moved on to who is now the ex, HE moved on to ex's ex. Does that make sense? So pretty much, we traded.
Hadn't talked in awhile, but his brother is R's best friend.
Also, he now lives in a different country because he joined The Peace Corps.
Right now, he's home. Until Wednesday.
Friday night we all went out. He just broke up with his girlfriend (thank goodness because...really, she sucks).
Anyways, we had an awesome time, and I'm ecstatic that we can be friends again (without any significant others being pissy about it).
His ex didn't like it any time she knew we talked, which wasn't even often.
Anyways, I'm gonna call him to see if he wants to hang out before he leaves.
