Not Paranormal, but Creepy, None-the-Less

So, I was just on the phone talking to a friend of mine. A girl that she knows thinks her house is haunted. Events have been happening for quite some time, and they have looked into some of the history of the house.

So, my friend tells me a little bit of this girl's story. So, obviously the conversation is a little bit weird.

I just got off the phone with her, and I've been listening to the new Animal Collective album. It kind of was creeping me out after my talk, so I went to change the album on my Windows Media when I noticed the title of the song playing was "Also Frightened". HA!
Weird, right?

Disturbia

I'm sure I'm not the first one or the only one to wonder about Rihanna's song "Disturbia."
What exactly is she talking about in that song, anyways? But, more importantly, does it have anything to do with her past rumored fling (and my long-time crush) Shia LeBeouf?
Remember, he was in the movie Disturbia (which I really liked).

Music Fest!!!

I forgot to mention that at the beginning of the month, we had a sweet ass music festival. It was the first one, and I'm so excited that I was a part of it, and it'll be back next year! I got a press pass for both days of the event, and wrote all about on Melody Trip. Soooo, check it out and comment if you like!!!

I Want a Pretty Dress

The other day I rented "The Other Boleyn Girl" with Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johannsen. Usually I'm not much into those types of movies, but for some reason I'd wanted to see it since seeing the previews. I really liked it, and have become a little intrigued with the history and truth behind the movie. It's about 2 sisters rivalry over Henry VIII. Really good stuff. I recommend watching.
What else? OH! I bought a new hair product by Sunsilk called waves of envy. It helps your hair achieve that beach, surf look. I used to have John Frieda's beach hair, and I loved it, but I don't ever see it anymore so it must be discontinued. (It smelled really good, too!) But, I am happy with the new product and it's made my hair look amazing. Not to mention it cuts back on 'getting ready' time since instead of blow-drying & straightening my hair, I just towel dry it and spritz in the spray and scrunch my hair. Just in the past 2 days, I've gotten numerous complements, including the lady at the 7-11 that I see all the time when getting my morning coffee. And this morning, I didn't even have to do anything with my hair! But, if you do need to revive it a little, you can just scrunch your hair with water to dampen it a bit, then re-spray on the stuff and you're good to go!!!
Last, the new Coldplay album came out on Tuesday. Did anyone get it, and if so, what'd ya think?

All a Blur

This has been one craaaaazy month.

I went on a bar crawl with an assload of people that I graduated with a few weekends ago. That was a good time.

Then, my birthday came, and I have a habit of making it last almost 2 weeks.

And this year, it was outstanding! Another friend of mine had his bday a few days before mine, so we went to a Bob Marley bday party and got completely loaded and rocked out to an awesome reggae band. I actually had to be carried out of the bar. And then, a few nights later,

I got to meet a really great band that I'd been in touch with from NYC AND hang out with them. Does it really get much better?

THEN, I had my dad's birthday. Went out to a nice dinner.

Then, a friend of mine finally had her baby. A little boy.

THEN, this past Saturday night was 'girls' night'. E is seeing a new guy and he was promoting his new tattoo parlor, so he had a V.I.P. party and we paid for nada. Got wasted. Danced around.

LAST night, was the Rock, Paper, Scissors contest. I was a superstar since I'm the regional champ from last year and as you may recall, went to Vegas to compete in the Nationals.

Well, the Bud Light rep is the same one from last year, so he was feeding me free Bud Light again, and telling everyone that I'm the winner from last year. It felt special, really!

Except that I lost.

But, the rep told me a few secrets. Like, he was doing another contest in the same night at a different locale.

So, I popped in there. Lost again. And this time, to a good friend of mine from high school that I didn't even know was coming!

BUT, I have one more chance. And that chance comes on March 4th.

Ro. Sham. Bo. Bitches.

Glad I'm Not Deaf

I feel bad for people that have no hearing capabilities. I don't know what I would do without music.
One of my bestests says that my gift to the world is music (& I love her for saying that!)...I can create it, and I can find some really good stuff that no one seems to know about.
So, it's Friday...
I am trying to pass the time until I can leave this office for my weekend!
And, thought I thought of many blog ideas, I do not remember any of them. (ha!..Surprise, surprise!)

So, I thought maybe I would share a few of my fave songs of the moment for you to enjoy this weekend, too! (You really should!)

We'll do the Friday Five:

1. Coconut Records - Nighttiming
2. Fiction Plane - Two Sisters
3. Say Anything - Alive with the Glory of Love
4. Blaqk Audio - Stiff Kittens
5. The Go! Team - Get it Together

Your assignments are to listen and LOVE!
