My first interview!!!

Last night I conducted my first interview. It was so great! I mean, I've done other interviews but the subjects were friends or family. So after my day job, I went home and got cleaned up. I wore the cutest outfit that consisted of a long white flowy skirt, a white with red and pink stripe linen camisole, and my new long necklace w/ a few big pink beads on it from Urban Outfitters. When I got to the Inn (where the interview was) my interviewee was running late so I sat at the bar and just had a water....(wasn't sure if alcohol was appropriate...although I am sure I could have). About 4 different people stopped in the room and they all thought I worked there. At first I went along with it until one asked me a question that only an employee would know. Then I confessed I was actually a writer waiting on Megin the innkeeper. Then the woman's husband asked what magazine and if he would see it. Truth be told, I am hoping that the editor for a particular magazine will want the finished article, but I don't know that for sure. BUT, I didn't reveal that to him. Instead I just sounded like an ass by saying,

"Oh...well, it's actually a magazine you have to get by subscription...I think....I've never seen it on newsstands around here....."

and my voice trailed off into nothing. (ha!) I'm aiming for the magazine called Ghost! Mag but I didn't want to say that b/c I wasn't sure if they knew the Inn was haunted and I didn't want to be responsible for tainting their image of the beautiful Inn. Finally Megin came and relieved me from my own embarrassment and we had a great chat. I have it all on my digi voice recorder and it is all so interesting I am not sure how I'm going to 'cut and paste' all the info into an article. BUT, hopefully I will go out to celebrate my newest accomplishment tonight! Ta-Ta!
