ABC has reportedly decided to make a spinoff of its popular medical drama Grey's
Anatomy, according to the Wall Street Journal. The series will star Dr. Addison
Montgomery-Shepherd, who is played by actress Kate Walsh.
A two-hour pilot of
the show would likely air in May, according to the newspaper.
Although it was a hit from the time of its mid-season
launch -- in a plum post-Desperate Housewives time slot -- on March 27, 2005,
"Grey's Anatomy" had sat on the shelf for a year before it saw the light of day.

Wonder what that show would be like? Spinoffs don't really have that great of a track record. Why ruin a good thing?
